Launch of the Monsignor Edward Ryle Faith, Equity & Inclusion Event Series

AFN held the first of a series of Faith, Equity & Inclusion events on January 16, 2018. This 5-part series is supported through the generosity of the Monsignor Edward Ryle Fund and is in honor of his legacy of advocating for justice, civil rights and human dignity for all people. Session I—“Faith & Justice! Equity & Inclusion? ”--examines the role that faith and spiritual leaders can and must bring to the table today in promoting—standing up for—justice, equity and inclusion for all people (click on the arrows at the left or right of each picture to navigate through the gallery).

Call to Action - AFN at the State Capitol

As part of the Call to Action from Session I of the Monsignor Edward Ryle Faith, Equity & Inclusion Event Series, Arizona Faith Network members and Board members met to distribute Call to Action cards. Each card asks local elected officials to consider three questions while deliberating during the Arizona Legislative Session. AFN joined with other environmental justice partners for Save Our Environment: Act Now! Environmental Day at the Arizona Capitol hosted by the Sierra Club, Grand Canyon Chapter. At midday Arizona Faith Network members participated in a prayer circle "Focusing Our Spirits for Action” led by AFN partner Arizona Interfaith Power and Light.
